Queue TV set-up

This is the guide to set-up of Modera TV. Modera TV stick was sent by mail and is pre-configured custom per dealership.

To configure the TV for call screen make following changes in the TV settings:

  • Disable auto-sleep. Menu > System > Eco Solution > Auto Power Off = Off
  • Disable screen saver. Menu > System > Auto Protection Time = Off
  • Adjust device volume to appropriate level, so that calling sound is easily heard across the waiting area.

Every queue TV needs separate Modera TV stick, so it is important to order as many sticks as many queue TV-s there is going to be.

1. Connecting the device

Remove protective cap from TV device and insert it into free HDMI port in your smartTV.

Take USB connecting wire and connect micro USB end with TV device and USB end into 5V;1A and above USB port in your smartTV. If stick does not get enough power it may not start correctly and show the picture.

Turn on smartTV and set the display on chosen HDMI output from menu.

Device starts activating and after reboot is ready to use

For set-up process you also need USB  mouse

Use wired mouse to navigate the device by putting it behind the Modera TV stick. Mouse can be removed after navigating and opening the Modera app. Mouse right click acts like return button. Use this to exit Modera app when first installing the Wifi connection.

2. Set up wifi connection

Set-up your wifi connection. Follow next steps:

Drag down the menu bar from top right corner and find wifi tab.

Find your wifi name and select, enter password and press “Connect”.

Find wifi tab

3. Open Modera App

Modera app is found in the main page or among apps. Open app by clicking on it.

When turning smartTV off and on the app will open automatically.

If app does not open or does not show any content, make sure the device is in wifi connection. You can do that by seeing settings from the top right corner-wifi. Or going to apps-> browser and see if any webpages open and are manageable.

If Modera app still does not open or does not show any content please contact Modera support team. Provide TV stick ID to the service team for quick identification.

4. App updates

Time to time there will be version updates to the app.

The updates will be automatic, but will start only if app is restarted. For example when turning on TV in the morning, the device and app are restarted and if new version of app is available the app starts automatic update.

When the update is done the system closes the app. Te reopen app just turn the TV off and on one more time. When TV restarts the app will open automatically.

It is not needed to turn off the devices (TV and iPad). However, it is good to turn off the TV screen to maximise it's lifetime and reduce risk of image burn-in and it allows app to autoupdate if update is available.
