Managing the Pricelist

Managing the Pricelist

Pricelist manager enables you to manage, edit and add new models.

1) Adding a brand.

If you already have the needed brand in the system then skip this.

Under tools go to settings and select brands. There you can add a new brand, select where the data is fetched, add brand and dealer logos.

2) Adding a new model.

Under tools open Pricelist.

From there click new model.

3) Add model data:

  • Model family from dropdown
  • Choose Active in Specification API (model is available for import into PDM or dealers Salesfronts) / Available for selling (model is available in Salesfront configurator)
  • Model name
  • Internal factory development model code or any other code for the model
  • Group from dropdown
  • Model year
  • VAT is excluded by default, untick if needed
  • Exterior pictures: per each color / per each body and color / per each grade and color

4) Next download the model data template and input the technical and equipment data for the car model.

Note that depending on the complexity of the options list for any given car model, it might make things easier to separate some equipment lines, versions or any other significant differences within a model into separate files.

Complete the file and select the completed file for uploading and Salesfront will now check for errors.

When there are errors that conflict Salesfronts read logic for the file uploaded it will let you know and when you click Show detailed log it will tell you exactly what is causing the issue.

Here the issue was that Salesfront requires each specification to have at least one interior and one exterior defined as standard equipment.

When everything checks out you will see a confirmation that the validation is finished. Just click Confirm and Continue, Salesfront will process to finalize and then you can close the window.

This is now what you will see. The model with the equipment list is put into the system and next you need to add pictures to the options.

You can upload multiple pictures together and if you name the files by the model specification code they will automatically be attached to the correct model specification.

With the exterior color samples it is better to add pictures of the actual model with the correct color option taken from the manufacturer configurator since these will be some of the first pictures you see when you start configuring the car in salesfront. Here again if you upload the files named with a matching color code they will automatically go to the correct option so CWP for Crystal White Pearl and CBS for Crystal Black

Uploading the interior and extras samples is done the exact same way. After this uploading a new model is complete. You can now try to configure a car to make sure everything is in order. Due to how different manufacturers have built up their model specifications differently some adjustment might be required.
