Adding a Location City

Adding a Location City

Before you can create a "location" (read more here) you need to set up a City it will be assigned to. You can have as many cities as needed for your locations. In case you have several locations in the same city you do not need to set up a city to each of them: All locations within the same geographical city can be assigned to the same "city" in Webfront.

If you have a multilingual website, you will need to create cities separately per each language version. To switch between languages use language selector in the upper right of Admin panel.

Step 1: Navigate to the Events Section

  1. Locate the left vertical black bar in the Admin Panel.

  2. Click on the Contacts module Cities.  If you already have cities added to the system, you will see them listed in this section.

Step 2: Configure City Properties

When creating a new city, you need to define its settings:

  • Order: set city display order.

  • City: specify city name.

  • Check Update all languages: checkbox to duplicate this city to other languages you have installed in your website immediately. However this will only copy cities as is, you will have to later go in each language version and update city names to appropriate languages.

  • Save and return: city will be added.

You can also add a city using the on-site editing option. To do this, log in to the Admin Panel, go to the website's “Contact us” page, and click the "Open location manager" icon in the top-right corner of the image to enter on-site editing mode.
